What is BalticMINT?
BalticMINT is an innovative education cluster that has set itself the goal of sustainably strengthening the STEM landscape (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in the Rostock region. By consolidating existing STEM programmes and creating low-threshold access points, opportunities will be created to promote STEM education not only in schools but also in extracurricular contexts.
BalticMINT aims to STEM competences of children and young people in the region to promote and expand it by Develop innovative educational programmes and support teachers and extracurricular organisations. Our long-term goal is to create a permanent structure that supports the Sustainably strengthening STEM education throughout the region and makes those involved on site "STEM-fit".
STEM offers
BalticMINT is primarily aimed at young people between the ages of 10 and 16.
Our aim is to promote interest in maths, computer science, natural sciences and technology.
STEM topics
BalticMINT brings STEM topics to life for children and young people.
In workshops and events, scientific concepts are communicated in a playful and interactive way.
Mobile laboratory case
Mobile laboratory cases bring scientific experiments directly to schools and leisure centres.
These small laboratories are fully equipped with materials and instructions.
Train-The-Trainer
The train-the-trainer programme invites teachers and supervisors to teach STEM topics in a competent and motivating way.
Practical workshops demonstrate exciting and easy-to-understand teaching approaches.
BalticMINT is more than just an educational programme. It is a movement that aims to transform the STEM landscape in the Rostock region and inspire the next generations of scientists, engineers and innovators.
